Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.

My passion for literature and writing led me to study English for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. This interest and enthusiasm for reading literary and academic texts transferred into my freshman composition courses, where I taught students to construct expository and analytical essays. Besides a focus on basic essay format, grammatical corrections, and sentence structure, I also encouraged students to develop their interpretive reading skills.
