I am a Massachusetts certified teacher of mathematics for grades 5-12, and have four years combined experience as a teacher and tutor of mathematics and language arts. My experience includes training at the Huntington learning center of Acton Massachusetts, where I became well versed in strategies for improving performance on standardised tests, especially the SAT. While pursuing an undergraduate program in Biology, I was fortunate to join the peer mentoring program at my school. As a peer mentor, I tutored in General Chemistry 1 and 2 for two years. I made counseled and guarded my peers in my area of study I also tutored in calculus 1 for a program by the division of science called City College Academic for Professional Preparation (CCAPP). A Little Bit About Me...

Math can be fun, especially when applied to exciting applications. For my work at NASA and the MITRE Corporation I use concepts from Calculus I-II almost everyday. Inspiring students to become excited about math and science is one of my life-long goals. Step by step visual diagrams can be effective tools for describing complex ideas.
