In graduate school I was a teaching assistant in an electric machinery laboratory for non-electrical engineering majors. During my pre test I assess the student and observe to implement the best tutoring tactic for each and every child. All children are different and special in each and every way. I began my education at Purdue University, where I completed three years of a Construction Engineering and Management program. I then changed to an education program at Trinity International University and graduated with a BS in Secondary Math Education. I believe strongly in approaching each child with a variety of techniques. I let the child explore why, then give concept information. The student then needs to practice, and finally personalize the information. This must be done using both analysis (left brain) and synthesis(right brain).
After graduation I taught English for 28 years. During this time I became a Dept. Head. I also was trained to train teachers in learning styles and hemisphericity. I have adult AD/HD. I began working on teaching methods for AD/HD students. I have also trained over 200 teachers. I have tutored students for the GED, ACT, SAT, LSAT, and MCAT.
