I enjoy tutoring enough to do it for free, which I have done for my friends from time to time. I’m a friendly laid back person who loves to learn and help others learn, particularly in a one on one setting. I’m quite good at breaking a subject down into an understandable step by step process and making sure they not only know the answers, but how and why they got the answers. I’m good with kids and often would rather be with them instead of adults.

As a student, I found it rewarding to help others in the fields which I excelled. My credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University at Albany, along with a background of mentoring. Although I have little teaching experience, I love working with all ages of people. A Little Bit About Me...

I took high school and college seriously. After college I worked for several years before attending law school. After law school I decided to combine my legal experience with hands-on medical skills, and I enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at SUNY Delhi, which I will complete next May. This summer is a lull before completing my education and embarking on a medical administration career.
I believe effective learning can occur in a 1-on-1 tutoring situation when the tutor and the student can communicate well. Tone, mood, and setting all come into play. A tutor who is relaxed, cheerful, encouraging, and resolutely intelligent is more likely to be approachable and someone the student will collaborate with successfully.
