I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! My comments on tutoring Elementary : Most of my classroom and tutoring has been at elementary levels. I specialize in K-3.

I have taught full time in public and Catholic schools for 10 years. I taught part time as substitute, long term (months to full semesters or more), tutoring for 16years. While in college I had numerous teaching and tutoring experiences. I participated in the Multicultural Program in college and the American Indian Project. I student taught a full semester on the Hopi/Navajo reservation. I have taught all grades and adults but specialize in K-3 in which I have the most experience.
