A Little Bit About Me...

I am a Corporate Finance professional whose true passion is math education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Business Administration - Finance. In college, I worked as a Teacher's Assistant at my old high school and as a private math tutor for 1-2 years in subjects ranging from algebra to calculus. I also worked as a college math seminar instructor for 2 years, teaching college-level calculus. I helped many of my students advance in their math classes and actually made it interesting for them, so that they wanted to learn!

After college I completed 2 years of FAA flight training and began teaching ground and flight instruction for all levels of pilot training (including aerobatics), which has allowed me to hone my teaching skills working with so many different age groups, personalities and cultural backgrounds. I believe there are multiple learning styles. One of my goals as a teacher is to find each students' learning style and teach to fit their needs. In my opinion there’s never a dull moment when it comes to science and math. I am severely enthused when it comes to particular subjects that I love. And I am well open to share it with people that are interested. Even though you find yourself disliking the subject because it is “hard” or for whatever reason, I can make the subject engaging.
