Biology is one of my top subjects! Received my Bachelor of Science in Biology May 2012 from Clemson University (3.8 GPA). I have taken a wide variety of Biology and am vary familiar with most subjects.

I have a passion for teaching others and spreading my knowledge- I enjoy not only helping a student to understand, but to also become a mentor. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in helping people that need help. So in college I began tutoring and started to do a bunch of community service projects. I have two years in tutoring experience. My comments on tutoring Biology : Took AP bio in high school and passed with a good understanding of the various processes and structures of cells along with the other topics if basic biology.

I like students to understand how the material they are learning can and is being applied to everyday situations. So I often will talk about the big topics that have been covered explain why they are useful and then show the student how to perform various calculations or apply the nessecary logic to solve problems.
I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. While substitute teaching various subjects, I discovered my hidden talent – making math understandable for youth. My other gifts include excellent grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. I don’t have a teacher’s certificate, however, and am currently choosing not to substitute, but I miss the personal interaction with students who want to learn.
Giving a student the answer does not facilitate their learning. My style of tutoring and teaching is to reinforce the basics, ask leading questions and give examples that assist the student discover the correct answers for him or herself.
