I was not paid to do this until one of my professors advised my to work as a paid tutor. I worked a s tutor in finance, financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting and intermediate accounting 1 and 2. I personally prefer one on one interaction for tutoring . I would first determine areas which need to strengthened. ThenI would emphasize these areas in the instruction process.Then I would assign work (exercises,problems,questions). These would then be reviewed to determine the students grasp of the material.These areas would be worked on until the student had an adequate grasp of the material.
