I am currently working as a Spanish Interpreter at Friendship Community Care in Russellville, Arkansas, and I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish at Arkansas Tech University, which has enabled me to increase my knowledge of the Spanish language. I am also currenty studying to receive a Master's Degree in English-TESOL option, which is Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (the same as ESL).
Working as a Spanish Interpreter, I work with pre-school aged children. I work with them during their therapy time, especially in Speech Therapy. I enjoy being able to help these young students overcome many obstacles that they are facing. I am very patient with them and considerate of their different needs. Included are three years of part-time teaching Latin and Spanish at the Clarksville Academy, Clarksville, TN. 2 years experience teaching Spanish and Linguistics at Arkansas Tech University. Now, I am semi-retired.
Depending on the class, I use a variety of styles. An educator can make a difference in students' lives. I have seen this through my 28 years of teaching. I try to provide mentoring while teaching to help students who are looking for a reason to succeed.
