I have always had a passion for helping youth. My experience has been primarily with elementary level students including reading, math, science, the arts and English. I have been a student aide as well as a volunteer tutor at several different churches.

In today's classroom environment, I feel like some students might be a little hesitant to ask questions and to ask for quidance. This in part could be due to a teacher's overload and inability to provide one-on-one instruction or perhaps due to peer pressure and the student feeling like they could be viewed as "not measuring up" by some of their classmates. As a high school student, I had a teacher who dramatically influenced my life and my future career. She instilled in me the love for accounting. I hope I have learned by example. All students have potential. Some just need a little extra guidance and direction. Teaching is so rewarding, there's nothing better than helping someone understand something they have struggled with in the past. I am a very patient person who loves to work with people. I also enjoy helping people overcome challenges. For example: when I worked at the accounting office my specialty was dealing with clients who had or have issues with the IRS. It was my favorite part of the job, especially when the issue was resolved! My teaching style is different for different people, everyone learns differently.
