Since earning my M.Ed. in Urban Education in 1999, I have had the mindset to push as many students as I am able to, to the top. I have an Advanced Certificate K-8 and have held a status of Highly Qualified since the initial implementation of such in Anne Arundel County. As part of a three person team at Severn River Middle School, I helped push our 7th grade math students to the very top in the county. Likewise at Bates Middle School, I mobilized students to achieve, resulting in the most significant gains in any subject area and grade level throughout the school for two consecutive years.
