I am experienced in the English and Reading components of the ACT, both in content and strategies. I like to make learning an interactive process as I believe students are more likely to retain what they learn when they have an active role in their success of understanding the material. Although I establish that I am the one in charge, I try to create a relaxed environment where the student feels comfortable enough to be open with their struggles, concerns, and questions. Because I went through the accelerated program I understand the need of hands on activities and alternative learning styles. I bring these into my teaching.
