A Little Bit About Me...

I try to teach things at a basic level first. If it seems that my student is understanding the information, then I would move on to more difficult ideas. Explaining complex theories using drawings and examples helps many students. I like to ask students questions so that I know that they are comprehending what I am teaching. Students all have different ways of learning and retaining information, so it is important to find which strategy will work for each student as an individual. I am excited about science and hope to convey that in my teaching.
I have a BS degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I also hold certification as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist. My career field has kept me current in many clinical science fields such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunohematology.
