I am a retired teacher with 36 years of experience. I have taught from the 6th grade through community college. I also have a combined 49 seasons of coaching experience in football and basketball.I have written curriculum for high school and college classes. Fun,Fun and Fun.Math is the subject that I enjoy tutoring the most.I have the ability to make math very simple and enjoyable.I have a very good sense of humor. I believe being happy and positive makes people around me feel the same and make them learn the material easily. Students that I have tutored found me to be very engaging and very friendly. I earned BA degree from Cairo University, which gave me a strong background in math and science. Growing up in a family that did not value an education, I saw education as a way to make a better life for my self than gangs, drugs, and violence. I am the only one in my family to graduate from high school, then college. I firmly believe that education makes a person better by pursuing it. I achieved an Associates in Science, then two Bachelors of Science degrees. In addition, I earned various certifications in Environmental Health due to my job experiences. A Little Bit About Me...

I love people's capacity for learning. It gives me joy to know that I have helped another learn something new. I am patient, relaxed, and try to keep tutoring interesting for the recipient. It's important that the tutoree is engaged and enjoys grasping new lessons. I like to guide students into understanding the problem rather than just merely giving them the answer.
In 2006 I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Engineering Science. It gave me an understanding in a broad range of mathematical areas as well as areas of other sciences. During that time I worked with volunteer organizations like Salem Housing and Habitat for humanity for three years, which enabled me to mentor a variety of ages. In the last year I've worked with a homeschooling group on a project called, "Leaping Lizards."
