A Little Bit About Me...

I have two Bachelor's degrees and a law degree. I am qualified to teach all areas of social sciences, and comfortable with most subjects through the high school level. I have had experience with tutoring through employment as a nanny. I had very strong scores on both the ACT and LSAT and feel confident that my instruction in those areas would be very beneficial to students.

When the conventional has not worked!!!

I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. I communicate freely with my students, and am always ranked among the most well-liked and effective instructors by my students. My best skill is helping students find what is in it for them to learn and use the material. I currently teach (adjunct) at a career College where I teach English, history, strategies for success, and communications classes.
Student-centered, Co-intentional. I believe that the key to learning is the motivation to want to learn. Once that has been accomplished, just stand back and guide the student to what they want next.

As a Midway College graduate, I held high standards in achieving a level of excellence in education.I have earned a BS in Arts, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of organizing, implementing, evaluating, management,and other related disciplines. As of February 2011 I will begin work on an MBA degree at Midway College. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers, essays and reports in a variety of areas of study.
