As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach. I have worked in Montessori type schools where learning is a self-discovery and a journey. I elected to homeschool my three children who are now teenagers; thus I have many years of one-on-one teaching experience.
