I am a committed educator with more than 15 years of combined experience in Secondary Education, Adult Training Management, Adult Training Facilitation and Adult Training Development. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Instructional Design, a Master of Arts in Teaching certification in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Liberal Arts. During the last 15 years of my professional career I have worked in the education industry.
As an educator, the first task is to determine the educational needs of the students. Next, I assess the student's current level of ability to identify the areas of the curriculum that may present barriers to them. I graduated high schoool with honors and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College, a small liberal arts college, well-known for its academic excellence in MS and across the nation. After college I worked as a substitute instructor for all grade levels in my home town. Later, I worked for a summer as a news writer for the local daily news, The Vicksburg Evening Post. Several of my articles on the closing a state-run charity hospital won a MS Press Association Award of Excellence in 1989.
