My comments on tutoring Algebra II : Took the Honors Algebra 2 class in high school and received an A both semesters. Also tutored a student in Algebra 2.

I took 4 years of Honors and AP mathematics classes at Blue Valley North High School (I received A's in each of the classes). I also received a 5 on the AP Calculus AB test. My comments on tutoring Algebra II : I consistantly use this in my field

I am very hands on. I like to first show how a problem is done, discuss the purpose of each step and then the student work the problem. From there I prefer to have students work problems and ask questions as they come up. After each problem is complete I then review the problem with the student.
As a graudate student I was a held a postion as a Graudate Research Assistant for the Geotechnical Lab. As such I taught undergraduate students the theory behind laboratory test, what each test provides the engineer and how to conduct the test. Furthermore I assisted undergraduate students with homework problems and helped them prepare for tests.
