As a long-time instructor in English, both in public schools and in higher education, I have encountered many students of many different backgrounds, learning styles, and ages, in the classroom and online. I have taught in many areas of English-related courses. These courses have included writing, literature, reading, public speaking, report writing, film and humanities, and other liberal arts courses. Currently, I teach at a regional University in Business Communications, tutor, and substitute teach in my community.
I especially value working with students by "starting where they are" and building a learning path together to reach the goals that the student has set for himself or herself.
