I began tutoring privately,as well as,for my school's learning center during the early 1990's. I have continued tutoring privately on and off for the past twenty years. I was a substitute teacher in California and Michigan during the 2000's. I also had my own high school level classroom in California for two school years. I was hired on an "Emergency Credential" because I had my BS but no teaching credential. I was laid off due to budget cuts in June of 2003. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). I also have a minor in Biology and Psychology. Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. My comments on tutoring Anatomy : Used Anatomy as a med. transcrip.

I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. In addition, tips were given to enhance test-taking skills in hard-to-Ace subjects like Economics. A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent college graduate, the stress, confusion, and (ultimately) joy involved in the attempt to master new subjects are fresh in my memory. A Little Bit About Me...

With a BA in Communications from Michigan State University and a MBA from the University of Phoenix, I have learned the value of education and understand the weight it holds in society.
