I have worked with students of almost every age and level. My first teaching degree was a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. With that degree, I worked in a preschool, and I have substituted extensively in elementary schools and in middle and high schools for 12 years, learning to work with math systems such as Investigations and Expressions. High school counselors steered me toward math and sciences. During my thirty years as an elementary teacher I taught third grade with the exception of second grade and fourth grade for one year each. After retiring my school district hired me to attend workshops on writing skills, then had me work with several elementary schools' at-risk students to boost their basic report and story writing skills.
