A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and interacting with all students, although my preference is junior high and high school as I have helped out in these areas before. I love to help students who are struggling and help them achieve success which they had not thought was possible. I believe in determination and hard work and will teach my students these values in addition to commitment and work enjoyment. My goal is not just to help achieve success in students academics but also in all areas of their lives.
For three years at Geneva College (2007-2010) I served as a math tutor, tutoring underprivileged, unmotivated, underachieving students at the local high school. Although I loved mentoring the young adults, unfortunately because of relocation back to Maine I was unable to continue the job. While attending Bates College, I was motivated academically to achieve the best education possible. I sought out teachers who inspired me to work harder and enjoyed participating in chapel services, community service activities and participating in competitive sporting events. During school vacations, I explored jobs that followed my academic strengths. To date, I have earned two degrees, a BA in English from Bates College and a M.Ed. in Curriculum Development from Lesley University.
