I have been studying education since my high school graduation in hopes of one day being the choir director at my high school.At the moment I am a student at UTEP studying bilingual elementary education and plan to receive a masters in music education after receiving my bachelors degree. I am currently a subsitute teacher and am hoping to continue helping students with their studies in the summer and weekends. In my schooland work experience I have worked with children of all grade levels and all subjects.
I am firm but like to use students life experiences and hobbies to teach them subjects. Younger students I like to teach through play due to the fact that I am a firm believer that children learn through play.

Each child is different. On a one on one setting, it would be advantageous to allow the student some freedom so that their learning style leads to maximum learning. My goal is to teach the student to love self-learning so that the student appreciates learning without a tutor or teacher present. All children can learn in an environment conducive to learning given the tools needed to cope with whatever stress may be interfering with their education process.
