A Little Bit About Me...

I love to incorporate a mix of slideshows and demonstratios in my teaching. I will begin the class with a quick icebreaker to initiate a conversation with my student. Following that, there will be a quick recap on the previous week's lesson, along with a 5 minute exercise. Next, the main objective of the current week will be covered. Following that, multiple demonstrations will be given, along with exercises for the student to practice themselves. Finally, a quick homework activity will be assigned to the student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I had full scholarship for both my BS in Computer Science and MS in Data Communications in two of the best colleges in the world. I thus have very deep understanding of Maths Physics and Chemistry. I have taught and tutored at middle & high school, ITT-Tech, The Art Institute of California -San Francisco and Menlo College. I have been an Instructor in the enterprise hi-tech industry on and off for the past 16 years. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer. I have taught yoga, dance, soccer and athletics.
I love teaching whether they are kids, high school kids or adults. I believe I was blessed to have had my college education for free and my way of giving back is teaching. I have over twenty years of experience teaching reading. I have also attended many Language Arts training sessions through my school district and county education offices. I also ran Language Arts and ESL Intervention programs at my school. A Little Bit About Me...

Even before I went to college and earned my B.A., I had already taught two years of ESL in Kachin State, Burma. I came back to the US and earned my degree in East Asian Studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. A few months after I graduated I went to the People's Republic of China and taught English as a Second Language from 2003 through 2006. In addition, I have completed all coursework for my M.A. in General Education, however, I have not finished the degree which requires student teaching. I am currently employed as a substitute teacher for two local school districts.
