I enjoy working with youth, ever since I was in college I have had jobs where I worked with children. I think their fun, and great to be around. I really enjoy helping them excel in whatever they like to do sports or academics. I very flexible in working around schedules, and I easy going and easy to get a long with. My teaching style is straightforward - proceed from the simple to the complex. It appears most subjects require this approach. I find it both helpful and important to try and relate situations encountered in day-to-day life to the specific subject problems. I earned a BS in Aeronautics and have completed some graduate work in aerodynamics and meteorology. In addition to having given approximately 3000 hours of instruction in aviation subjects, I have authored several textbooks on aircraft design and construction. I've been both a research pilot and a captain on a cargo airline.

My best contribution has always been coupled with my crossover between practical, "real-world", skills and academics. I have always had a desire to share things that interested me with others, starting with Karate as a teen and continuing onward through more complex academic disciplines. I tutored Chemistry, Math, and Philosophy all through college. This has expanded to media and communication, practical business, and technology. I believe all students have the ability to succeed. In my experience, the most important thing to remember is that all students learn differently, and sometimes what seems like an impossible task just needs to be presented differently for better understanding. Relating the material to situations and applications that are relevant and familiar to that particular student is a much more productive and beneficial way to have students retain information.
