In May 2012, I received my bachelors degree in English with a Literature Emphasis and a minor in Writing. I graduated with a 3.6 g.p.a. (Cum Laude Honors.) Throughout college, I took various education courses that focused on educational philosophy and physiology, elementary and secondary concentrations, and students with disabilities. I was able to obtain 36 education credits and in 2009, I was admitted into the school of education at my university where I was able to engage in student teachings, researchers, and observations. In high school, I was on our school's speech team, I competed at the varsity level all throughout high school. I placed at every competetion, without fail. I placed in advanced English classes in high school, and tested in to the second level of English classes at Western Illinois University my freshman year. With my undergraduate degree in hand I taught Marketing and Sales at Whiteside Area Vocational Center in Sterling, IL, for eight years. I left teaching to enter the corporate world working for several companies, i.e., National Manufacturing Company in Sterling, Amerock Corporation in Rockford, and Greenlee-Textron in Rockford. I moved from a product manager to national account manager. Following my corporate experience I returned to tutoring students, K-12, in Princeton, IL, in math up through geometry, and specializing in tutoring students who could not go to school either due to an accident or illness.
