A Little Bit About Me...

I usually start a topic by proposing a problem and making the student minds to think and naturally bringing up the concepts in the topic. Then I elaborate to explain the topic, usually drawing graphs, diagrams, etc. if necessary. To learn a specific skill, for example in Algebra or Calculus, I usually apply and explain the procedure for a few simple example and then explain the technique as a general procedure.
I am a math PhD student at Michigan State University with experience of teaching Calculus for 8 consecutive semester. Before that, back in my home, I have been teaching Algebra, Geometry and Discrete Math to high school students for more than 6 years. I have also several years of experience in teaching math preparation courses for student mathematics olympiads to smart and talented students.

I completed to Calculus III at Michigan State University, receiving a 4.0 in Calculus I. I tutored other students while in high school in math and science related classes. I completed AP Chemistry and AP Calculus in high school. While at Haslett, I took chemistry, AP Chemistry and then tutored a chemistry class and then completed chemistry and organic chemistry at MSU.
I do better when the student has a desire to learn the material. I prefer to explain problems and then have the student do them, with me giving feedback and helping explain the problem as we go.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a person who has grown up in Pakistan, studied in the UK and is now in US, I can communicate and understand different kinds of people. I have taught as a temporary teacher in a school called Education Bay in Karachi, Pakistan. I have also taught at a special children institute for 2 years in Karachi, Pakistan. I also taught voluntarily in university to those who were struggling with the subjects I was strong in. These include Mathematics, Economics, English and Accounting. I have strong grammatical skills as my degree required me to write many essays, reports and papers. I have also gotten published in DAWN Newspapers in Pakistan.
