As an educator in the school district I have multiple areas of experience that include academics in math, science and reading. I also have experience in dealing with multiple levels of reading levels that are conducive to cognitive, behavioral, or emotional problems that prevent optimal learning to occur and have utilized mant techniques to help students achieve their individual goals. During my education I have learned multiple learning strategies that can be used to help individualize each student's progress.

I believe that people learn in different fashions. For example, I feel that some concepts may be better explained with tangible objects while other concepts are learned better when questioned and discussed. By exploring the different ways of learning we can find what works best for that individual and use that method as a tool for their understanding. I feel, in the past, that many of the peers I tutored not only obtained/recollected more information, but were more comfortable in a quiet, relaxed environment. Graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead with a degree in accounting, and a strong background of math and businesses courses has given me an excellent background in math.
