I believe that everyone learns in a different way so I approach teaching with a very adaptable style that adjusts to the person or people I am teaching. I was chosen as a IV-E child welfare scholar through Saint Cloud State/University of Minnesota where I received additional focus/training in helping children in need. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching philosophy is simple; I believe in providing a safe and positive atmosphere for students to learn. In creating this positive atmosphere I motivate my students by showing them that they can indeed, be successful. I help them move toward success by teaching content, but also building trust with the students. I am approachable and have a positive attitude; I take the time to learn each student’s interests which helps me relate to them. Building this trust is a fundamental part of the equation; it is a foundation to be built upon. Once a student realizes that you are trustworthy person, and that you believe they can succeed, they start to believe it themselves.
