One of the reasons that I'm interested in tutoring is that, although I love working with individual students and small groups, I am less interested in classroom management, discipline and the rest of the duties that come along with substitute teaching. I am excellent at relating to students and absolutely can help those who are willing to learn. Every student is different; some require more help than others. As a teacher I have to find the best way for the child to learn. I want learning to be constructive, but also fun. I have discovered through years of education, that the amount of enthusiasm from an educator can make a huge difference. Therefore as an educator, I need to be patient and always encouraging. Adding details, examples, and stories to a study subject can help many students mentally see what I’m trying to teach.
