My comments on tutoring Spanish : I took Honors Spanish courses throughout high school and excelled in each of them. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers University, having Spanish as my minor.

Hello everyone! I would like to think that I'm an all around person, willing to work in many fields. Although most of my educational background is geared towards Psychology, I have plenty of experience with other subjects; the Psychology of learning aids me in being capable to work with other subjects. My past occupational experiences include being a reading tutor for the Memphis Literacy Corps, the Elementary Education Coordinator and Self-Esteem Instructor at Youth Visions, Inc., a youth advisor at St. Paul M.B.C., an actress appearing in several different presentations that include commercials, and being enrolled in a Master's program; I will complete my Master's degree in August 2013.

I love one-on-one tutoring for students and adults! I find that I have the full attention of that person so that we can make a lot of progress during each session!

The languages I listed are simply the the ones I use more often, but are not limited to those I am able to speak and/or teach. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style varies with each student. I think it's important to understand the problem areas and make the problems seem as simple as possible. I am patient and persistent, and I believe repetition is very important. I also am a stickler on not being afraid to ask questions. My mom tells me all the time, "You know not, because you ask not." I use my ability to relate and good sense of humor to make the students feel comfortable in knowing that they can ask anything, and there is no such thing as a dumb question. I've worked as the VP of Internal Audit and Credit for a Federal Savings Bank, the Director of Finance for a National Bank, a Senior Financial Analyst, and the CFO/Controller for a smaller company. I am well versed in any financial or accounting matter than you may need help with.
I believe in using humor and matter of fact conversation style is the best way to teach. If you get someone interested in what you have to say then they will usually want to learn it and retain it almost effortlessly. That is the method I have used to train all of subordinates over the years and it has always worked out. Relate the lesson to something the student cares about.
