Government is one of my top subjects! Political Science Grad

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. It was there that i learned that you really only learn a small fraction of what you need to help you in life in the classroom. The rest must be learned on your own or with some one-on-one counseling. Although I value my college degree in biology and formal education, my real love for learning and teaching has been honed over the years teaching my own kids at home. I firmly believe that a good education must be adaptable, flexible, and incorporate a variety of learning styles if it is to be of maximum benefit to students. When teaching, I speak with my students about the kinds of activities they feel assist them most in retaining information as well as observing their learning style independently. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with students of all ages in a variety of scenarios, but my most recent experience is teaching as an adjunct professor at Eastern Washington University. My course was "History 110: The American Experience." I had 52 students and we met Monday through Friday.
