During my last year of college, I was employed by my university as a science/math tutor. During this year I was able to help students with their science problems of all levels. During my time in college I was involved in reading biomedical research papers.I was able to attract many students interested in the biomedical research field to learn how to read research papers. I was very proud of myself for this due to the high difficulty first year graduate students have reading these papers.
My teaching is based on lecture explanation. During teaching/tutoring I encourage my students to ask questions. At the end of the lesson I provide problems related to the related material. Assign homework for next class session.

I truly enjoy working with students. In my experience, many students get discouraged when they become confused with the content of material they are studying. I feel that in many cases, it is just as important to teach students how to learn as it is to teach what to learn; consequently, I advocate a step by step teaching method that allows the student to focus on what they do know, rather than what they do not know. As the student begins to understand each step, they become able to develop the required problem solving skills. Although I am advanced as far as the subject areas I would be tutoring in are concerned, I am still able to present the content to the student in the unique way that they are able to understand it. This is important, since no two students think alike and, in my experience, a majority of students do have trouble with math and math-intensive sciences such as physics.
