I am a retired teacher with 36 years of experience. I have taught from the 6th grade through community college. I also have a combined 49 seasons of coaching experience in football and basketball.I have written curriculum for high school and college classes. Subjects I have previously taught are: CAD, drafting, woodworking, study skills, computers, careers, home maintenance, residential framing, construction, and I spent a year as a Dean of Students.

Never stop pushing yourself to learn

I can teach in any style that suits the student. I am flexible with whatever excels the students learning the most.
I have taught a large array of children and adults, anywhere from a 2nd grader struggling with reading to adult Burmese refugees. I have the patience and flexibility to successfully work with anyone. I started tutoring when I was around the age of 13. I taught a young Korean girl English, where I would have to create my own lesson plans. While I attended Okemos high school, I partook in volunteering experiences that dealt with tutoring. For two years, I was placed at an elementary school where I would tutor 1st-5th graders biweekly with anything from basic math to practice with reading. I am an eighteen year old female with with a High School Diploma and one year of University behind me. I graduated High School before I was seventeen and a half, one semester early when I was already a young student for my year. As a young teen, I was always a tutor to my friends and was willing and excited to help anyone with any academic difficulties.
