I graduated 94/921 from Broken Arrow HS in 1994 and tutored as part of my affiliation with extra-curricular groups. I finished 1st, 2nd & 5th at three separate area high-school accounting competitions. I was included on the President’s Honor Roll (4.0 GPA) 5 times while attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, and was awarded several scholarships based on academic performance. I also participated in tutoring of both fellow college students as well as area grade school students as part of the extra-curricular activity groups in which I was involved. I have worked in the Accounting industry for 10 years and I have 4 children of my own which I tutor on a regular basis. I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student. I feel that if I can teach the student how to read theorems, understand concepts, then problems just become easy at that point. I started tutoring part time in 2004 and have continued this throughout college. I worked as a math tutor for tulsa community college part time during the summer. I have earned over 190 hours of college credit, I have two degrees, and I am only 15 hours away from a chemical engineering degree.
