I have tutored many students in math, and a few students in English in the past. I am always able to adapt to how the student learns, and help them understand the material. I have worked with students from the age of 7 to the age of 15, from elementary English to Algebra 2, I have made it so the student can understand the concepts they are learning in school.
Depending on the students learning style and the subject, my teaching style will differ. If the student is a visual learner than I will create PowerPoints and other visual aids to help them. If the student is kinesthetic than I may create a project for them to do (if the parent is ok with it), or I may have them interact more during the tutoring than with the visual learner. I have 28 years of teaching experience in math - 4 years on the high-school level and 24 years on the college level. I have also done a lot of tutoring. Most students who have given me a chance to help them and have done their part have succeeded. Many students have told me that after I had the chance to help them, they understood math for the first time. Many students have told me that before I helped them that they hated math. But when they started understanding it, they didn't hate it anymore; in fact, some said that they even liked it.

A Little Bit About Me...

one on one is the best for me, i dig deep in the material and make sure the student knows everything they need to know. I know what it's like to be lost, and i want to prevent that from ever happening to anyone as much as i can help it.
I had Algebra 1 my 7th grade year, geometry my 8th, algebra 2 9th, statistics 10th, trig 11th, and calculus 12th. I'm in the mechanical engineering program in TCC and currently in calculus 2. I can help in calc 2 but haven't really mastered it yet, anything below i'm pretty well off.
