Last year, only 5 of my students didn't p ass the 11th grade SOL, and after re-takes the following week, only 1 didn't pass. I was trained to be a SAT tutor using the TCA program in the county. Most students are very capable, they just need someone to explain the material in a way they understand. Some students are visiual learners, other kinetic learners or they learn by doing.
