I grew up in competitive dance and hold 3 nation titles in dance. I was a varsity cheerleader through out high school and I also attended Joffrey NYC pre professional dance program in high school. I am now in my last year at University of The Arts under the Prestigious Artist Scholarship as a Dance major. I like to incorporate a sense of humor in my teaching - I believe when children can relax they are much more open to learning. I am also sensitive to children's different learning styles whether they are visual, auditory or kinesthetic, and tailor my approach accordingly. No two sessions are ever the same! Students sometimes feel too vulnerable to try things when they don't know someone because they do not want to make mistakes. I would let them know that the only way to get better at something is to make mistakes so they can learn from those mistakes by making the appropriate corrections. Confidence is key.
