A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an elementary school teacher since 2000 in the Boston Public Schools. Prior to this career change, I worked in the printing industry as a sales service manager. I am also the mother of a grown son who is in his junior year at St. Leo University in Fl. My daughter is a senior in high school and is actively looking at a variety of colleges.
Depending upon the subject matter that I am teaching, my teaching style varies. Some time direct instruction along with rote memorization is my choice but I also examine the learning style of the individual and vary my teaching style to the learning mode of my student. I was Training then Senior Training Coordinator for the UMASS Donahue Institute in Boston from 1991-1998. I made a decision to stop working to be with my 2 children.
