A Little Bit About Me...

I attended Towson University where I earned a bachelor degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. To further my education, I am enrolled in graduate courses at St. Joseph's College where I will earn my Master's in the field of Literacy and Cognition. I student taught in a fifth grade classroom as well as a fourth grade inclusion class. For the past year I have been tutoring an eight year old girl with special needs. I also have been substitute teaching in the Mt. Sinai school district.
I believe that all students can learn. Caring for young children can be a large undertaking for a teacher, but all the effort put forth in caring has great value. As one of the older matriculating students in the class and a mother of two girls, I have seen how different methods of teaching worked with different children.
