Over the last nine years I have pushed myself to succeed in academics. In 2010 I graduated with my masters degree in biology. During this time, I gained a strong understanding in many areas of science and math. I have experience writing research papers, laboratory reports, abstracts, grants, and oral and poster presentations. I have mentored students of all ages in science and statistics. In order for students to retain what they learn, I beleive that academics should be interesting and applicable to real life. I also understand that not all students learn alike. After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language.
