My comments on tutoring MVC : I use this design pattern all the time. I can explain why it became so popular and prefer to teach it using (Ruby on) Rails or ASP.Net MVC.

I've been a web developer for over 20 years. I've seen the entire industry evolve in real-time with my own career path. I'm currently working full-time as a principle software engineer for a SaaS company in town. I've built many teams, architected and helped produce many enterprise level systems. I love teaching and am passionate about helping people discover their strengths and choose the right career paths.
