Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. I also had them read the text orally taking turns and we would do the work sheet to prepare for quiz, test or new chapter. I am very patient with those who are truly in need of assistance. My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level.
