A Little Bit About Me...

Everyone has different learning styles and a teacher/tutor needs to figure out what learning style the student has in order to help them reach their highest potential. It is important to understand that some learn by hearing while others learn by seeing and doing. I love to help people learn and grow. I am patient and easy going but will help the students understand the concept as well as have fun.
I have a bachelors degree in business administration and an associates degree in health administration. I have had experience teaching preschoolers and help my own children at home. They are currently in 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades. I enjoy learning and had a 3.6 GPA when I finished my bachelors degree. I do very well in writing research papers. My schooling was online so I have a great deal of experience writing papers.

As an Accounting graduate who graduated with honors, I committed myself to strive to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I have earned an Associate degree in Business Administration with Concentration in Accounting, and Bachelors in Business Administration with Concentration in Accounting. These two degree have enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math, writing, and accounting. Since my degree was earned at an online College and a University, I have learned grammatical skills due to writing papers, discussing topics on the discussion boards, and essays in many various areas of study. While practicing law, I taught several community education courses on legal subjects for Idaho Legal Aid. I also was a certified CPR instructor, but that certification has expired. I attended and completed the "Train the Trainors" course from the National District Attorney's Association and was chosen as one of four from 400 students to be a trainor at the next session. As a PSR, I worked one on one with students in the school setting and on an individual setting working on behavioral issues that prohibited learning in a regular setting. I also taught one on one, in an individual setting with these students. I worked with children from Kindergarten through High School.

I will be honest, I did not graduate High School, but have had the privilege of homeschooling my son since Kindergarten. I am still homeschooling my son through Idaho Virtual Academy and will continue to do, because I have learned to teach him with the school, I have learned to tutor him in all areas of his studies. I did work for a season with the Wellton Elementary School in Wellton Az as a Seasonal Testing Teacher, administering reading and word tests to Student of all ages.
I love teaching and working with all children of all ages.
