Psychology is one of my top subjects! I hsve experience tutoring at Westfield State University as a psychology tutor in nine subjects including child development, adolescent development, Learning, behavioral modification (Applied Behavioral Analysis), Social psychology, health psychology, psychology of human sexuality, theories of personality and sensation and perception. I am part of the psi chi international honor society. Only tutors that got an A- or better could tutor in psychology. I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in psychology and I am a very compassionate person willing to help research, write, find articles for projects, and help excel and study for exams.

I usually allow the person to come to me with questions and ask me what they are struggling on and help them from their or review the basic concepts and say them out loud to the person I am tutoring. I help students go through their books and synthesize material and help students write papers and come up with proper conclusions and introductions to his or her paper.
I tutored in my last semester of college at Westfield State University. I have taken 122 credits in psychology. My psychology G.P.A. average is 3.74 and my overall average is 3.551. I have helped students excel at college-level classes where some students were failing. I am part of the international honor society in psychology. I love helping other people. Although I only have a bachelor's degree, I have helped many students at college excel at their classes and achieve A's when they were struggling.

I have recently graduated from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. While attending university, I studied various courses- natural science, social science, criminal justice, biology- but my true passion lies in foreign language. French and Portuguese were my primary languages studied. I am pleased to say that I was lucky enough to have studied abroad for a semester in Paris, France. Education is fundamental for our youth as they are the foundation of the future. Teaching is a passion for me because it is adventurous. I believe that every lesson must be creative and interesting. Fact of the matter is that learning can be difficult from and therefore approaching tutoring from a hands-on perspective may be more productive for the student as well as the instructor.

I have taken math for 4 years in college. It is a subject that I very much enjoy-so much that all of my sons are also strong in mathematics. My oldest is a national merit scholar finalist, and my youngest son is captain of his high school math team. Math is fun, like a puzzle-once the student sees this fact, they begin having more fun and less fear of the subject.
I am a patient teacher, and I use many different ways of communication. I try to find the style of learning best suited to my pupil. Removing the fear of the subject seems to be the most important part. I go through many many examples, until I feel that the student, and more importantly, the student has a feeling of confidence and mastery.

This week I am graduating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy NY with a degree in computer and systems engineering. Through from my experience in grade school and my observation of students that attend tough schools I've realized the monotonous class schedule and disciplinary philosophy of most schools deflates most student's desire to succeed.
