A Little Bit About Me...

None of my family had gone to college, so it was predicted I would not either. I had a hunger to learn, so I systematically worked full-time and studied part-time, earning eight major degrees in cities where they alowed residency rquirements to be met in such a way. I was young and energetic, so it was a lot of work, but a joy. It took about 15 years to finally earn my doctorate. Along the way, I earned certification in a half dozen fields (especially loved English, social stuides, and psychology). I was employed for decades in education, teaching full-time for five years, often teaching on the side when I was counselor or administrator. Except for my earliest years of employment (where I was often employed full-time in radio or newspaper), I often tutored along the way. A Little Bit About Me...

I love helping people who are learning in a field that I love. I chose to go into accounting while I was still in high school and I haven't had a regret yet. It's a very useful skill to have and I've found it to be in demand and very versitle over the years. I enjoy trying to find new ways to explain things to people, it's a challenge. I love to see the light come on! I'd like to think I could help people get into a field where they love to go to work. I have 3 kids of my own and have the patience to help your child through their work.
I have been doing tax preparation, audits, finacial statement preparation, accounting, data entry, monthly reconciliation, forensic accounting, and preparing trial balances while in college and there after. I have taken Excel classes and can use Power point. I have mentored peers within my office.

A Little Bit About Me...

For the past 2 years since graduating from the University of Oregon I have been working full-time as Psychosocial Rehabilitator within the educational environment of various elementary and secondary schools. I currently manage a Therapeutic Learning Center focused on behavioral modification within the Special Education Department of a local high school. I have experience working with a group of students with disabilities such as: Autism, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Emotional Distressed, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Anger Management Issues. Most of my time is spent in a one-on-one situation with the student. I have a strong background in Math, Social Studies and History.
