A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and planning every day activities. I had many field placements and I really liked working with children- especially one- on -one. During my field placements, I've had the opportunity to communicate with children and teachers as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated college with top honors. I worked as a Juvenile/Shelter Care Counselor at Berks County Youth Center where I worked with children of all ages and races. I am semi bi-lingual in Spanish. I took three years of Spanish courses in college. I supervised children in school and daily activities, but was also responsible for helping them complete all homework assignments, organize educational activities , help teach all school subjects, as well as tutor children in need of extra help in school. I have worked with children of all educational levels, especially since most of the children came from poverty stricken areas and were behind in their schooling,many with learning disabilities.

As a teacher there is nothing more rewarding than the look on a child's face when a skill is mastered or a mystery becomes an understood concept. This is what attracted me to the field of education and what has kept me here. I am also fully aware that each student does not reach this level of mastery by following the same path.
