Experienced, question-based biology tutor

I find a discussion format with questions to be the most effective, as it not only allows student participation, but also provides information on where students are confused.
I received my M.S. in Biology from Eastern Michigan University in 2014. I taught introductory biology courses there for two years, with subjects ranging from population ecology to genetics. A Little Bit About Me...

Although a senior about 20 credits from my BS, I know I am qualified for this job. My passion for Chemistry rubs off on those around me. With a near 4.0 GPA, I always earn the top score in my class, only once did I get less than perfect on a Science test, a 99%. Students began asking for help. From my first Science course, I helped many students drastically improve their grades. Professors gave my name out to students and I have taught many each term. When my Prof. was going to miss class she asked me to teach instead. My lab reports were always perfect; the Prof. copied them for future classes. I earned the only student research grant. While, my major and expertise is in Biology, I learned about many different subjects and cultures through study abroad and course work. I love teaching students of all ages and I recognize that most students do not get the help they need during the school day, which is why it is important for them to get the help they need outside of class. Each student learns differently and it is important for me to figure out a way that works best for him or her so that I can instill the techniques that will help them throughout their entire educational career. Most of my classes have been lecture format, but the majority of my classes also consisted of a weekly lab component. In lab, I worked one-on-one with students and aided their learning in both the lecture material and hands-on laboratory materials.
I have a bachelor's and a master's degree in Biology. I was a full time college lecturer in Biology and Anatomy&Physiology from 2004 until 2008. This past year I returned to school to obtain an MD.
