As one who holds a Bachelor's and Master's in the arts, I believe in the power of exploratory learning. However, as one who has spent considerable time working in computers and networking, I value the attainment of hard knowledge. I come from a teaching family, and continue to learn from teachers myself. I feel that because I am still eager to continue to learn new things, I can appreciate a good teacher. I myself need good teachers, and I would not provide a student with anything but that. I am a hard worker and give 110% for every job that needs to be done. While at college, I was a member of the Americorps program in which I completed over 300 hours of community service. During that service, I had roles as both a student and a teacher. I have the experience of working with all types of people and children, and sincerely enjoy working with people in a teaching setting. I try to create tasks that are hands-on, use authentic materials, and encourage students to collaborate with others and think outside of the box.
