People learn best when they understand the importance of the material being taught, something I strive to convey to my students. While I can easily teach a didactic lecturing style, I feel that an interactive approach often better meets the needs of the students. Ultimately, education is a reflection of the students success and the teacher is merely a means to that end. My experience in teaching is broad and varied. I have taught medical students, other physicians, technologists, as well as teaching at military facilities. In additiom, I have two school age children myself and I believe that I am their primary teacher. In my experience tutoring and training students, the most rewarding moments are those in which understanding of a subject becomes a reality. I work hard at trying to find those moments with my students, explaining the subject through different approaches and providing diverse examples to face abstract concepts. I prefer to work one on one with a single student, I do my very best to make my student feel comfortable and ready to learn. I learn what the student likes; music, sports, movies, I use these things to relate to the student and then i'm able to relate the learning material to the students favorite things which I think helps them to be more receptive. I began tutoring while in high school, as a junior and senior I would spend 2-3 afternoons a week at the Middle School helping the learning support classes write book reports.
